Join us at the farm and become a citizen scientist for the day!
We will be:
- choosing a spot on the farm, observing, and counting as any insect (arthropods), Earthworms, and Gastropods (snails, slugs) life forms (both above and below) as possible!
- Learning about and group discussion of both native and beneficial insects, as well as "harmful" insects, depending on what we find
- Integrated Pest management (IPM) framework overview and discussion
- Demonstration and hands on learning of plant-derived foliar sprays for pest mitigation including Kaolin clay, safer soap, compost tea and nee, oil
- General nerding out on the miraculous world of bugs and our relationship with the farm and garden!
