Joseph Nontanovan with Thomas & Sons Tree Care, and beloved member of Portland Fruit Tree Project's tree care team, will be teaching a Summer Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop! We will be learning Summer Fruit Tree pruning basics and basic tool care & cleaning 101.
Summer pruning our fruit trees helps reduce vigor and encourage fruit production, to keep our trees happy and our communities fed! We will be primarily working in our front orchard of: Asian pear, Persimmon, & Quince, but will move to our other fruit trees as time allows.
Meeting Location:
You'll see a Kindness Farm sign by the mailbox. Please have vehicles park on the farm side of the street. If you have a group van please feel free to park in front of the house on the side right side of the driveway in front of the fence. This parking is also reserved for folks with ADA needs. We will meet you under the carport. Thank you!
